Helm had recently canceled several concert dates, including a headlining spot at Jazz Fest in New Orleans and several Midnight Rambles — the intimate shows he hosted over the years at his home studio in Woodstock, N.Y.
At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony Saturday night, Robbie Robertson — Helm's former bandmate from The Hawks and The Band — sent "love and prayers" to Helm, according to
